Moline Centre Facade Improvement Program
Purpose
The purpose of the Moline Centre Main Street Facade Improvement Program is to provide financial assistance to building owners in the downtown historic commercial district for rehabilitation of property tax generating structures. Priority is given to historic buildings in the Moline TIF District #1. All rehabilitatin work must be respectful of the historic character of the building, with every reasonable effort made to preserve the distinguishing original stylistic features of said building. The Facade Improvement Program is a forgivable loan with reimbursement of eligibe costs disbursed upon completion of all authorized work.
Program Details
Loans may not exceed 33% of the project costs, or $10,000, whichever is less. Applications will be reviewed by the Moline Centre Main Street Design Committee in the order in which they are received. Funding is available until all program dollars have been committed. Only one loan is allowed per building, per program year, and only two projects per building in a five-year period. The Moline Centre Main Street Design Committee shall retain final approval over all project designs.
