We’re on a Mission

It’s often said that the center of any city is its heart. For years, our urban centers have been overlooked as development spread farther and farther from the heart. The National Main Street Program is a national organization committed to historic preservation-based community revitalization as the primary way to restore the heart of our communities.

What is the Moline Centre

Moline Centre represents our effort to encourage economic development within the context of historic preservation in ways appropriate to today's marketplace. The intention is to mark a return to community self-reliance, local empowerment, and the rebuilding of traditional commercial districts based on their unique assets: distinctive architecture, a pedestrian-friendly environment, personal service, local ownership, and a sense of community.
